San Diego, CA has first TCHF benefit
Father David Ungerleider informed the TCHF Advisory Board of Oregon recently of a group of ladies that attended a class on Christology he gave in San Diego, CA. a few years ago. They attended the class every Tuesday for several semesters. These were Mexican families that have relocated to San Diego, CA from Mexico. They became interested in the Tarahumara Indians and decided to hold their first Benefit dinner in the home of Charro and Alejandro Guerra in Rancho Sante Fe, Ca for 250 patrons to raise funds for the Tarahumara Indian projects in Creel. Fr. David was in attendance at this affair and over $7,000.00 was collected in donations at this first Benefit Dinner.
This same group of ladies have scheduled a second Benefit Dinner to be held December 11, 2010 in a hall. Kudos to this outstanding group of women in San Diego!
