New Orleans elects new officers

NEW OFFICERS FOR TARAHUMARA CHILDREN’S H0SPITAL FUND IN NEW ORLEANS

The Tarahumara Children's Hospital Fund at a recent meeting elected new officers for 2010.
Rhea Lemarie Gonczi was elected President and Maria Irwin was elected Vice-President.
George Irwin will continue as Second Vice President, Clare Lemarie Guilbault as Secretary and Glenn Guilbault as Treasurer. We have also added two new board members, Donald Gonczi and James Lemarie. The organization continues as mostly volunteer with mailing and limited administrative costs.
With the passing of the major founders of the Tarahumara Fund, a new generation of the Lemarie family has stepped forward to continue the great work of their parents S.L. and Belle Lemarie. In addition George and Pat Irwin have been close associates of the Lemaries and their work with
the Tarahumara mission. George continues to be active in the organization along with his daughter-in-law, Maria Irwin. This new group hopes to continue to provide funding and support for the work of Father Pedro, S.J., who has succeeded Fr. Verplancken in directing the mission work for the Tarahumara Indians.

Please continue to be faithful and generous donors as you have been in the past and become ambassadors for the Tarahumara people and recruit new donors for the cause, perhaps grown children in your family or friends and neighbors. The work of the hospital and bringing food and clean water to the Tarahumara cannot continue without your help. Thank you again in the name of our Lord and the Tarahumara people you serve, for your generosity.
